321 Essex Ave. West Gloucester overlooks Little River Charming circa 1863 7 room Colonial overlooks marsh and Little River. Gracious Living room with fireplace, Dining room with hardwood floors, spacious kitchen with breakfast area open to large deck with views to marsh, pantry and bathroom. Second floors has 3 bedrooms and update bath. There are many recent updates and the exterior of the house has just been painted as well. Why we love our house!
Life in the picturesque house by the Little River was charmed. Pine, oak, and maple flooring, with countless antique detailing throughout the house added warmth, is a character missing from many of today’s econoboxes. Sunlight floods the house, adding to the warmth. Perhaps the best feature of the house is the location and view. It is flanked by a hill on one side and the Little River on the other. Eating breakfast in the kitchenette to a brilliant morning sun, one cannot help being thrilled by the sight of white cranes descending onto the sparkling water during high tide. Barbeques on the deck on a Saturday afternoon with friends showcases the gorgeous vista. The beautifully landscaped grounds and lawns lend itself to delightful backyard summer picnics. The convenience of easy access to Boston via the commuter rail (a few minutes walk), having several beaches and beautiful Stage Fort Park, West Parish Elementary School, West Gloucester Fire Station, Gloucester Harbor, High School, convenience store (a few hundred yards away) and Route 128 only minutes away caps the experience. In short, this home is a timeless, graceful classic secluded from harsh city life, yet conveniently accessible to every desirable amenity. We hope you enjoy this home as much as we did.
