Changing default font size in a web browser - FAQs

For Internet Explorer:

1. In the "View" menu at the top of the screen, select "Text Size."

2. "Text Size" provides you with 5 options for default font size for the browser.

3. The choices are "Largest," "Larger," "Medium" (default), "Smaller," and "Smallest." Select the option you want.

For Firefox:

1. In the "Firefox" menu at the top of the screen, select "Preferences."

2. In the "Fonts and Colors" area, click the "Fonts and Colors" button.

3. Click into the size drop down menu to the right of "Proportional" and select a font size.

4. Click the "OK" button.

For Safari:

1. From the "Safari" menu at the top of the page, select "Preferences."

2. Click the "Appearance" tab and then click the "Select" button to the right of "Standard Font."

3. The font size area is on the right of the screen. Select a font size from the scrolling menu.

* Safari users may also increase the font size on the page they are on by pressing command and then +. They may reduce the font size by pressing command and then -.
